September 18, 2008... LightWild of Overland Park, Kansas USA, announced the completion of an exterior architectural lighting project for the O2 World Arena in Berlin, Germany. The project involved creating what the company says is one of the world's largest architectural LED lighting grids. It reportedly spans the entire south glass facade of the new arena that opened Sept. 10, 2008. The installation takes up about 15,000 square-feet (1,400 square-meters).

The grid displays motion graphics and video content on a massive scale, utilizing more than 7,000 controlled LightWild Pixels and 280,000 individual LEDs overall. 117 custom-designed aluminum mullions with domed optical lenses house the pixels that are spaced evenly across the entire width of the glass facade.
