Coemar Infinity Wash XL, ParLite LED Lights Ignite 311 2008 Tour Designer Loves Lights

August 7, 2008... The 311 2008 Tour is drawing masses upon masses of dedicated fans, as ICD-distributed Coemar Infinity Wash XL and ParLite Led lights trail-blaze behind -- and atop Sony BMG/Volcano's alternative punk-funk/reggae-rap group.

The spectacle/cornucopia is the pride and joy of lighting designer/director/programmer Joe Paradise, who is working with 16 Infinity Wash XLs and 36 ParLite Leds, which complement the tour's layered design. The Coemars play off of the rig's huge circle with a 60-foot truss running through its middle.

"I use the ParLites as truss toners, and the Infinities for general upstage and mid stage wash," declares 12+-year veteran Paradise. "I'm also using hazebase base hazers, mounted in the circle to give atmosphere downstage."

Infinity Wash XL lights sport a CMY-S color mixing system with new saturation mode (patented), full range dimming, black out, synchronized or random strobe effect and a completely electronic strobo zap.

The Coemar ParLite Led lights boast full range dimming, synchronized or random strobe effect and infinite colors generated by a convergent RGB color system. They are 36 led luxeon, 1 W each, offering a declared led life of 100,000 hours.

Paradise trusts the Coemar ParLite Leds' time-proven ability to perform beautifully, and finds the Coemar Infinity Wash XLs to be entirely reliable. "They provide good color, great output and excellent zoom features," he comments. And their patterns can't be beat. I really like them a lot!"

Paradise is also fond of the hazebase base hazers, which further offset the tour's feel, texture and mood. "I'd seen them in ICD's shop and they were fantastic," he says. "You can place them wherever you wish to. They afford really precise control of output and fan speed, and use very little fluid."

The people at ICD totally impress Paradise. "They get back to me within minutes. They're just great, truly phenomenal!"
