Barco Acquires High End Systems June 12, 2008... Barco of Brussels, Belgium, a provider of lighting and visualization products for select markets has acquired High End Systems based in Austin, Texas USA. High End Systems supplies automated luminaires, digital lighting, and lighting controls. High End Systems reportedly employs 156 people and is a profitable company with USD $44 million sales in 2007. Barco says that with the merging of two strong industry players, the acquisition reinforces its leadership position in the fast converging video and lighting segments.
