Columbia Lighting based in Greenville, South Carolina launched the new MultiPurpose Linear luminaire. The company says that the luminaire provides continuous illumination, integrated controls, multiple lens options and single or row mounting. The MultiPurpose Linear comes in two-foot, four-foot, eight-foot lengths. Mounting options include surface, wall, suspended, pendant, t-bar or continuous row.
According to Columbia, when row mounted, the luminaire offers a smooth, uninterrupted strip of light with Wide and Narrow distribution options for open area or aisle applications. While the MultiPurpose Linear comes standard with a white housing, Matte Black and ZET Metallic Silver housings are also available.
Curved and flat lenses give the device a soft, clean form with a smooth contour between lens and housing. The luminaire is also available without a lens but if desired with wire guards and decorative end caps.
Multipurpose Linear has Outputs From 1,700 to 17,000 Lumens
The MultiPurpose Linear features outputs ranging from 1,700 to 17,000 with 90 CRI options and DLC Premium Qualified configurations. Optional integrated controls of the MultiPurpose Linear include wired or wireless controls that can be scaled from standalone luminaire-based control, a small room network or a building-wide system with NX Distributed Intelligence™. The optional, integrated controls also include three modes of tunable white with SpectraSync™.
These control capabilities from Hubbell Control Solutions reportedly address any code compliance needs, such as occupancy, dimming, vacancy, and daylight harvesting or scheduling. The company points out that theMultiPurpose Linear is labeled and certified to UL924 Emergency Lighting standards, including controls override features for use during emergy operation. When the power is out, MultiPurpose Linear immediately bypasses controls. It then returns to 100 percent power for the safe egress of occupants.
The device’s LEDs have a projected L80 of 50,000 hours and they are binned with a Color consistency within a 3-step MacAdam ellipse and feature greater than 80 CRI. Columbia backs the luminaire with a five-year warranty (Terms and Conditions apply).
