Acuity Brands, Inc. reported that it acquired 100 percent of the equity interest of DGLogik, Inc., a San Francisco Bay Area-based provider of software solutions that can both enable and help visualize the Internet of Things (IoT). DGLogik’s solutions give users the information and data analysis to better manage energy usage and improve facility performance. Users can employ the customizable applications and dashboards to easily visualize, analyze and optimize facility operations. The company’s data analytics are based upon various sets of data from multiple types of devices to help optimize operations.
Acuity says that the acquisition supports its strategy to extend and improve its portfolio of holistic IoT solutions that can collect and exchange data to improve efficiency, and provide an enormous range of other economic benefits. Acuity points out that such data analytics can help facilitate smart cities and buildings.
